 +Apart of Wikipedia a few less known man-made alternatives existed such as Citizendium and Wikispooks. Recently old resources such as Brittanica as well as new AI alternatives such as Grokipedia became freely available which finally break the nearly monopoly position of Wikipedia. And instead of merging articles from such sources that have different points of view by hand, now that effort can be automated with AI tools. The new plan, starting in 2026, is therefore to make use of AI for the creation of a limited range of articles.
